The end of an era

Tinker Rebrand

Here at tinker we are constantly growing and evolving, and taking a retrospective  look at where we are, who we are and where the road ahead leads.

After much discussion late last year, we came to the conclusion that our brand, like a hair style from earlier years, was getting a little tired and no longer accurately represented us – our brand personality, who we are and the work that we do.  Think of it like a hairdresser having an out-of-fashion hairstyle, OMG!

At first we toyed with the idea of a name change, however we have built such a strong reputation and have so much invested it the tinker brand that it seemed a shame to ditch it. So, that was that, a rebrand was in order.

So without further ado, behold our shiny new logo.

Less cutesy, fluffy and feminine, the new brand is clean, refined and classic and appeals to a wider market. And if you know graphic designers, then you know we agonised for days over the font choice, whether there should be an underline under the name, whether the word ‘creative’ needed to feature, whether the K looked better without the triangle… and we are too embarrassed to even admit the rest. Then there was the stationery…

Anyway, we are still the same brisbane graphic design studio you have come to know and love, we just look a little different. Think of it like a new haircut, it takes some time to adjust to the new ‘do’ but after a while you’ll wonder why it wasn’t done sooner.

Next time we catch up with you, don’t forget to ask us for one of our shiny new cards, they are pretty special even if we do say so ourselves.
